Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of ShadeTreeGarage, which is operated by C10 AI ("we"). By signing in or using the service, you agree to them.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to use ShadeTreeGarage.
A beta service
ShadeTreeGarage is currently an invite-only beta. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may change or end the beta, and we will try to give notice when we do.
Your account
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Give us accurate information and do not share your account.
Your content
You own what you put into the service: your notes, records, photos and receipts. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you, including sending the relevant parts to our AI provider to answer your requests. Only upload content you have the right to use.
The AI is a helper, not a mechanic
AI answers can be incomplete or wrong. They are general information, not professional automotive, safety or legal advice, and they are no substitute for inspection by a qualified mechanic. Working on vehicles is dangerous. You decide what to do and you are responsible for doing it safely: use proper jack stands, never rely on a jack alone, disconnect power before electrical work where appropriate, and take safety-critical work such as brakes, steering, suspension, fuel and airbag systems to a certified professional if you are unsure.
Acceptable use
- Do not break the law or violate anyone's rights with the service.
- Do not try to access other people's data, disrupt the service, or probe it for weaknesses.
- Do not upload harmful, illegal or abusive content.
- Do not use the service to build a competing product or to overload it with automated requests.
Ending your access
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of AI answers or uninterrupted availability.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, C10 AI and ShadeTreeGarage are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for damage to a vehicle, injury or loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on its answers.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful we will update the date above. Continuing to use the service means you accept the update.
